Kit (Katherine) Mattikow is the Founder and CEO of TankerWise, and holds the provisional patent for the use of AI in liquid cargo loading and discharge operations. She is #70 of the Top 100 Women in Shipping globally, and in 2024, she became the first repeat winner of the CMA Business of Shipping Research Competition. She is an active member of the maritime industry, having spoken at over a dozen events in 2024, and was given Observer Status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Katherine was awarded the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award by HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, in 2022 for accomplishments in sports, arts, and voluntary service. She holds a BSc in International Transportation and Trade from New York Maritime College, and is completing two Masters of Science in International Transportation Management and Maritime and Naval Studies. In her free time, she enjoys sailing and figure skating.
